Hi huan..
I have been Seeing the same problems you have and my suggestion is this...
I have the same situation even leaner in Vtec like 14.5 and starts to fall above 8000rpm to 13.
Anyway I tried to adjust the FPR and it only got rather just after Idle and way too rich and no change in VTEC.
From my Experience...the best setup is
Stock Header,Test pipe and a catback...
the car wasn't doing good on AF but it was Quite fast.
Than I put a 4-1 header and it runs so Crappy and no vtec urge at all.
After this I played with the FPR and no gain...
than I put the CAt back on to see what happens and guess what..
the car is quieter and Faster...but the AF is about the same as before so it seems the car doesn't like Freer flowing exhaust...The 4-1 has 7mm larger runners than the OEM header and the collector is that much bigger also.
As it seems the Stock Comptech needs an AEM badly with a free exhaust..
I doesn't work good with anything but stock...
So I plan on putting back the OEM header s
and TP for now till I get the bigger injectors and 10psi pulley to up the boost and hopefully I will find a Fellow member to borrow me an AEM map for a 4-1 header,TP and CATBACK, 10psi and 750cc injectors so I tune it to my setup since there is no tuner in my country...I don't know how to tune it now so the EMS sits on my Shelf..
Anyway for starters take out the TP, put the CAT back on and see if the car is quicker and don't look at the AF just yet and than put the OEM header on to try that...
Exactly the same AF with my setup now...
I wonder if we could do the same Trick to our FPR as the guys that have Vortech do to their FMU by putting a Washer in the FMU to increase the tension of the spring and up the pressure? since turning the FPR doesn't work...
Comptech does sell different springs etc for their FRP that change the amount of change.
Give them a call if you really want to go this route.

after reading your post on the Fuel pump i got worried about the Pump also..
Is there anyway to test this before i plan to trow 100$ to the trash?
I can connect a Fuel pressure Gauge to the Rail and what should i see?
Whats the Normal Pressure when in Vtec and what pressure is low in Vtec.
Can somebody Chime in here to tell us what to look for when looking at Fuel pressure? I plan to test this way first than get a new pump if needed,I got mine From Comptech also as a separate buy as you TRBOKEV

at the end I will go with the emange. I am going to drop the fuel pressure to 50 psi, keep the stock inyectors and tune the fuel with the emanage.

one more question; is a must the tune the ignition? or just the fuel is enough?

dont mess ignition with E-manage.

You should be fine with just adjusting fuel alone.

Very interesting thread.
My Comptech SC & AC came from the same group buy as IntegraSi. I realised the exhaust system could make the SC go lean @ WOT.
I've decided to stay stock header, leave the CAT in and just put the Amuse Dual TI on for weight saving.
Hopefully I wont run lean.

BTW have you guys looked at this;

From my observation thruout the forum, anyone w/aftermarket header + test pipe have A/F issue with stock SC system.

As long as you run stock header + cat, you will be fine.

anyway to ask if this is Pump thing also...

I decided to Take the Belt of my CAR and Run it NA for a while...
And Guess what the Car was Even Leaner in VTEC NA than with the BOOST.
Before the Boost VTEC readings were 14.5 max and NA were 15-15.2...
Is the pump for change or what? I had the FREE exhaust than.

wouldn't the FPR only add more fuel when there is positive pressure in the intake manifold? which is only possible when you have boost?

Red face

I tuned the car with a Greddy Emanage: I had had some belt slip so the boost was only 4 psi

First I used the Comptech FPR to drop the fuel pressure at ilde from 70 psi (comptech uses 67 psi) to 50 psi, Stock is 48 psi.

With the old Fuel pressure level at WOT at 9000 were beyond 120 psi!!! now it is 80 psi.

What most impresed me is that tuning with the Emanage is more simple than I though thanks to the Real time communication and the ghost mode.

more interesting was that 9000 rpm we increased a 10% more the time of the injector opening. A/F ratio was 12-11 in the VTEC range

Pluging the emanage with a PnP harness got a CEL, we tune the car with CEL because we did not have the OBII scan tool at the moment and Honda was closed, they charge 100

Quick Reply: CT Sc no A/C Stock boost runing very lean
