You are perfectly fine putting a test pipe on and will definitely not need another tune. You probably will not notice any HP gains but will notice a better exhaust note and smell some unburnt fuel

When I had a stock setup (minus plx R500 datalogger) and installed a testpipe i noticed that my afr's went up by 1 -1.5 points. At the very least I'd suggest you have a look at your AFR's and adjust the FPR accordingly.

My AEM AFR on my dash stayed the same after I installed my test pipe...maybe yours was just different?

Peanutbutter - anyway you can back up this statement? I searched on the forums before I installed mine and no one had issues of it before.

I find it odd now that when I posted a thread in concerns to installing a test pipe everyone said it would not do anything and I would be fine and the cars ECU would adjust accordingly. Yet now when I relay this information on, everyone says the opposite. I guess this is a forum and everyone does have their own side and/or we have mismatched information/data.

After I installed my test pipe my AFR never changed, and I am constantly watching that on my dash.

so its like 50% of people will say its ok and 50% will say no.

well i dont know thats y im asking =)

thanks again for reading!
lets hear more opinions!

Thats because every engine and CTSC install is different. Better be safe than sorry, get a AF reading or get on a dyno if you install a test pipe.

installing a testpipe more than likely makes the car run leaner, especially with the addition of a supercharger. i just had my supercharger installed last thursday and put in a t1r with tp the next day.. i babied it down to the tuner where i got it tuned and now i can run the car safely im not sure how it would respond with the stock exhaust though, but best bet is to be safe and get the AFR's checked before you go out mashing the throttle.

Its just better be safe than sorry.

on the lean side ive read if you go beyond 12.5 is pushing and on the reach side of the tuning, that will run safely after the install and before going for the tuner how reach can we go? is 10 AFR way too reach that itll damage the engine if is bein driven for an hour on the way to the tuner? i also run on a 70mm T1R exhaust and testpipe.
