i don't understand why everyone makes it seem like a big deal that you have to remove the SC to install a clutch. you just take off the belt and remove 3 14mm bolts and you can rest the blower on the crossmember so you don't have to disconnect any oil lines...

Gus,

How long have you been using the emanage, mileage wise?

I have been using the emanage almost on 2300 miles tuned.

I am actually surprised on how well it has ran. I also have the boomslang harness as well.

You also have to take time to reinstall/adjust the belt, take the oil return line loose (usually at the oil pan which means drain the oil), disconnect the after-cooler, deal with lining everything back up on the install. Yes, none of it is hard to do but it just adds more time to an already time consuming job.

Given how you said you drive, I would leave the stock clutch for now and when it does go out, put in an ACT heavy duty. Before I took my CTSC off my AP2, I was running 7 psi, and drove 12,000 miles on the stock clutch with five track days. If you try to spin the tires on 1-2 and 2-3 shifts you will probably fry it but I've done hundreds if not thousands of full throttle slams from a 3000 RPM roll up to redline and never had it slip. ( If the tires and road are 50 degrees or lower it will spin the tires from 3000 to redline the first time or two until the tires heat up) However, the first time you do a 1-2 full throttle shift and the tires don't break loose, the clutch will. Do that once or maybe twice and it's history.

Umm...there's no way the stock clutch will hold running that much boost. I would think that it would slip at WOT in the upper rpm range.

As far as injectors, I think the 550cc injectors should be enough to get you through 9psi though the 650's are marginally more expensive. Why not have a little headroom for extra cold days?
My 330 HP turbo S2000 is still running around now with 3 years on it on the STOCK CLUTCH!

Neither I nor the guy I sold the car to launch the car.......think about that

i do not have that, so i forgot about it. but can't you just disconnect the part that goes from the blower to the TB just like any old intake arm and leave the rest installed?

550's should be fine, going to 650's won't hurt. I am still on my stock clutch, slippage is non-existent. I will replace at some point I am sure. Boosted for 6K miles.

My personal experience. And I get my car back tomorrow from a retune
