if you want more power and less noise, I'd keep the cut out and get 2.5 piping (if you don't want to keep OEM) and big off center to center magnaflows mufflers.

IMO that will give you the best of both worlds. My cut-out opens automatically at about 9-10 psi of boost. So it's almost as quiet as stock under low loads and screams when I'm on the GO pedal!
Very nice!

Is there any "drone" as you apply the throttle between 2500 - 4500 rpm? Does the cabin get to unbearable levels?

I'm curious because I have a bit too much with my Hytech twinloop. Using this meter: ( http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=390-722 ) I've measured between 99 - 101db in-car between 2500 - 4500 rpm. I'd be happier with maybe 92 - 94db.

Thanks, Brian

i believe they are 4 x 9 x 14, but I'll have to double check the length. I'll get back to you guys later today!

[QUOTE=Sarek,Aug 26 2010, 07:07 PM] With the cutout closed (normal loads) there isn't any drone that is "unbearable" but that's subjective. I can see the value of an accurate meter

if I was to compare to other exhausts I've owned, I'd say it comparable to the Fujitsubo (which is pretty quiet) and a little louder than stock. I think there's a video on

Sarek, If I'm looking at your pics correctly...you have a metallic core HFC too...right?

Oh...and muffler / resonator size / specs too please!

Thanks again, Brian

Sarek
thanks for the info. I'm going to make you exact exhaust system for my car. But i want the car to be really quiet. Do think there is room in the back to fit the magna flow 5x8x18 mufflers in the back. That only about 4 inchs longer.
