Default Custom Intake for SOS supercharger

Who here has made there own custom intake? I would like to know where you got the pipes/hoses and what bends you used. Also did you end up using slim fans aswell? Please get back to me I would like to get this done.

I used a spal fan. It was required in order to give just under an inch on both sides of the intake between the fan and beam.

I dont recall the place but i purchased 3 ply hoses, really thick. I hardley used any metal piping so i could dampen the sc noise alot.

I used:

1 90° 3.5in hose
1 45° 3.5in hose
1 sos supplied 3.5in union
1 45° or 90° 3.5in aluminum pipe (used near the wheel to make the air filter face the front bumper)

Check the first post in the sos faq thread or the rainh8r upgrade thread for pictures

Good luck!

I left the intake in the regular spot. What i did was duct cool air to the filter via one of the side gills on the bumper. I found the flex pipe and all the parts i needed at pepboys for like $25

I can post pictures later

I've used both duct 2-ply hose and aluminum piping. 3.5" for everything

Is that a Petersen catch can? I have one just like it but didn't think it would fit in that location.

It's the ASM copy with the lower portion removed and mounting tabs cut off the upper bar.
