I cant see that kind of intake setup doing much compared to relocating the filter to the wheel well.

Op, your on your own for find the hoses. All i remember is buying the hoses from a semi truck styler retailer online from washington state.

I used a 3" hose. I had to cut a piece off my headlight bracket to route the house behind the light. Looks good!

My only fear of relocating the filter is losing some air velocity and flow. Im sure is better but this works well believe it or not.

I did a crude experiment and put a thick wire over the end of the duct. After a spirited drive with a pretty cool ambient temp the wire at the end of the duct was cool to the touch.

Being skeptical I taped the end and went for another drive. The wire was warm. I also noticed .2-.3 bump in boost on really cool days where as before in same temp i would always be at 6 - 5.9 psi.

Maybe just coincidence. I think it helped at the very least drawing cooler air to the filter at speed.

Yeah I think mine is a 2.5" hose instead. I've been meaning to do a similar test to see if it actually is beneficial. I bet it does reduce heat soak on the filter area and reduce IAT's a bit.
