Ibleed-Yeah I think the same way about the engine and that it because I don`t want to blow my car up...I almost have it paid off thats why I am looking into a Comptech S/C. I heard it was alot safer for your motor and its cheaper and you will get about 300 RWHP so I want to check that out before I make any type of decsion

yah Jay comptech has capable going over 300whp and still running safe. But for me i am greedy on torque so im going turbo but just to be on my own safe side i will only boost my car on low boost running 250whp and if i still get greddy for torque maybe increse it by another 50whp. power = addicting lol but sc vs. turbo on safety issues i do agree sc is safer

Why would you say that a SC is safer than a turbo for the motor?

Adding a certain amount of power has the same effect on your motor whether it's from a comptech charger, a GT35R, or 289070708 mice on a wheel off the end of your crank.

The ONLY difference in how "safe" a setup is, is dependent completely on the supporting setup (fuel system, cooling system, etc.) and the TUNE.

Yeah I really think I am going to go with the Comptech I spoke with a couple of local people who have that and the Vortech and what they basically told me was that Turbo kits haven`t been out long enough to prove their reliability with the F20C...But I do agree with what you where saying about the Torque...I think that is the only downfall of our car....But then again it is a 2.0L so you really can`t expect much torque without the use of FI....When I get another car I will probably sell the charger and go turbo but for now the S2000 is my only means of transportation and I don`t want to blow it up.

This kit is PLENTY reliable enough to drive every day, even more-so than a supercharger because you tune the car for the setup, its not a "one size fits all" like the SC's out there.
But its much easier to turn up the boost with the turbo setup, so if youre addictive, being stuck at the SC's boost levels might be good for you

Tinker-Like I said I don`t know too much about FI but I know that the Comptech makes power threw the whole RPM range...How does the Turbo work when building power?...I like the idea of always being able to upgrade....The only draw back I have about a Turbo kit besides safety is that the engine bay looks so empty...And I cannot move the battery because I have a system in my car and there it no were to put it...

Sure you know how the comptech works? It's a progressive power-adder and doesn't successfully build even 0.1psi of boost until close to 6000rpm's and doesn't make the 6psi until 9,000rpm's. It's a straight line from 0.1psi to 6psi with the rpm's on the other axis from 6000 to 9000. Tinker's turbo kit can build boost from about 3000rpm's I believe and gets to 8psi extremely rapidly. Turbo is more of a parabola where the boost rises very fast and levels off to a pre-set value.

You can put a bunch of other stuff in the engine bay with the new found space

In one of my videos, you can see 6psi while revving in neutral. This turbo setup makes the motor feel like a large V6 or even a small V8, its just INSTANT from the time you step on the throttle, all the way to redline. Partial throttle boost will net 5-6psi just driving around town, so essentially, you have a ~230whp motor under your feet just partial throttle accelarating.
If you want more a progressive feel, go with a larger turbo. A GT35R will support in excess of 600whp on this motor, and full boost should be had by 5500rpm.

As far as battery relocation, put it where my shop car has it. Ill build some brackets thatll bolt onto the Xmember so you can put the battery up there if you want. Solves the problem; OR, run a small Gell-cell, like a Hawker. You could probably get away with using the stock battery location with one of these. Im not sure however, if these will power any kind of substantial sound system.
