Default Daily Driven Turbos

i'm trying to get as much in put from different people on their thoughts of me going S/C. Well my friend who is almost 10 years older than me and have had lots of experience with DRAG turbos, back when they first came out, said i should go turbo. i explained my dislike for it b/c of high boost and much problems, but he said he didn't have much problems with his 93 integ turbo or 92 civic turbo.
My questions, how much real problem occurs with your turbo?
He also said i don't have to run that high of a boost, and that will help from keeping it from being more troublesome, true?
Also, i see that INLINE turbo has the whole turbo is about 4K vs CT SC which is about 5K, is this true or is the what they sell and then i need to get more.

BTW MY06. ( i know parts haven't came out yet )

^you read it wrong. He is in the process of installing a custom pieced turbo kit. He is in favor of the turbo, and meant look at the difference of the number of turbo'd cars versus the small amount of supercharged.

Superchargers are a compromise, turbos are the real deal

true, i'll have to say i would compromise because i don't want to have to lose the stability of the car or the longevity of the motor. So for example, if i were to get a Inline Turbo kit or a Lovefab, would i be able to plug and play sort of speak? or will i have to get one thing after another modded?

*edit*

at the end of the day, how much is a reliable turbo kit, including install and all the other things such as the EMS, going to cost me to run, i'm getting crazy amounts of numbers ranging from 5K - 12K

I have lovefab and my car is very stable. I have help with installation, but the trick is get it tune right and you will have small issues. I have to watch out for speed bump, my down pipe is sitting low anything can drag on it. You have to understand few basic thing to take care of your car after its tune, watch out for loose nuts or bolts it is new installation, and check for heat damage if necessary you have to get vented hood or heat sheild and thats about it with turbo and understand your car especially EMS things wont break.

Mine is going to end up being around 5000 after all is said and done. I sold/ am selling 3800 worth in parts so it's not that bad though

I could have done it for much, much less however.
