My lovefab kit with custom EMS is costing me about $8500. I'll have about another $1k in other turbo related parts.

like I'm sure everyone else on the forum will agree; get quality parts the first time and find a good tuner. FYI you can piece together a quality kit MUCH cheaper than buying one as a whole.
