Default Defi Exhaust Temp Installation Question

I bought the exhaust temp gauge sender for use with the Defi display. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to hold the temperature probe in place. The fitting they sent me does not fit over the probe snugly enough to hold it. Anyone know how it works? Thanks.

I recently installed my Defi EGT probe into my Comptech header. My probe is held in place by a compression fitting at the top. And the bottom is screwed into the header.

In this picture, the double sided screw (the thing with the arrow pointing to it) should fit over the wider part of the temperature probe (the part that says "sensor" under it) correct? That is the only way the nut fitting over it would compress it enough to hold it in place. On mine, the fitting does not fit over the wider part of the temperature probe and thus does not hold it in place with the nut. Does yours? Thanks

Yes. Mine does not fit over the wider part of the temp probe. It fit snugly after tightening the nut down. Do you have the 2 metal o-rings inside?

Yes? It does not? Haha which is it?

I do have the two metal o-rings inside again the fitting only hits the wider part of the probe barely. If you pull on it it comes out.

Yes, the wider part of the probe sits flush up against the nut and can't be pushed through the nut. Once I tightened the nut, the probe could not be pulled out.
