Do all Vortechs using the black box run lean?
Not all tuners are created equal. Average tuners hate the emanage because piggy backs are a pain. You have to know how to balance emanage stuff with ecu.. Too complicated. The shop I go to for maintenance has a dyno and tuner on site and he won't touch the emanage either.
I'd go Kpro myself. Seems to work better on the s2k's.

Crap, I think I'm going to try the stock FMU + washer and black box first, since I'd have to pay for the Emanage and tuning too. More than I'm wanting to spend at the moment.

i'd copy the comptech setup. get a rising-rate fuel pressure regulator and a missing link to hid boost from the stock ecu. it'll work and won't be too costly. a fuel pressure regulator i think goes for $250-$300 and the missing link runs for about $60. add in a used vafc to trim fuel and you have a decent low boost fuel correction system.

No point replacing Vortech parts with Comptech parts that do the same thing.

and for the other comments other members posted about not getting a piggyback because certain tuners wont touch a piggyback...their just lazy ass tuners that arent versatile at all IMO.
thats like bringing your Honda Civic to Jiffylube for an oil change and the mechanic tells you they wont do an oil change unless its a Honda S2000...
