Default do i need to get tuned again?

i had my car tuned last fall, and really haven't put that many miles on it.. but something just seems off

i have the ILP stage 1 turbo kit installed with a precision 59-65BB. i made 361whp and 221 tq at 11.5 psi on ILP's dyno.

my afr at warm idle is like 12.5 and my highway cruise afr is around 13-13.5

really beating on the car i would get 20.2 mpg and i recently did an all highway drive and only got 20.6 mpg.

so i decided to take it to a buddy of mine and he pulled my fuel map for me and it was just straight. he said its supposed to kinda look like a dyno graph curve, but mine didnt.

any opinions would be appreciated..

Idle target should be 14.7 Cruise should be the same up to about 35% throttle and then your fuel map will begin to richen to about 50% throttle when your open loop wot fuel map takes over after this.

So to clarify, optimum afr at idle and cruise to 25-40% throttle is 14.5-15.5. After 25-40% throttle the transition throttle enrichment starts which would be anywhere from 12-13.5afr. After 50% throttle full fuel enrichment typically takes place deemed by the tuner. Typically 11-12afr

Def need part throttle to be dialed in. I get 25-28 on highway. I cruise at 14.3-15.0 and idle at same

And yes there should be a mountain ish look to fuel map. Max fuel at mbt I believe.

what year car? what was it tuned on? Mine did the same with flashpro and it was a corrupted calibration Jeff Evans told me to reload from email and it corrected the issue. He said it appeared open loop (or closed loop) was disabled but it wasn't He said he didnt see any short or long term fuel trim changes.

Who looked at the car? was it a shop?

i have a 2002 and its tuned with AEM EMS v2.

and my buddy is a tuner but he doesn't like hondas, he normally works with wrx's and evo's haha but he said i could definitely benefit from a retune.

and i was thinking about taking it back to my original tuner, but ILP is about 5 hours from my house.

Who ever tuned yours just did wot and didn't spend much time on part throttle which is where u are most of the time. If he is decent at tuning he can fix this. Just drive around and have him tweak your part throttle out of boost map. Then dip into boost and make sure it's richening up in part throttle boost applications.

Otherwise have Evans etune it or drive to Evans or ilp

This is spot on advice!

I'm set up similar to this except I went a hair leaner for highway cruise; 16:1.

How can u use that advice? At 50% throttle I can be in boost. Why in the world would I want 13ish:1 in boost!?!?!?!?! On an na car sure this would work.

Boosted car game changes. U tune typically based on map vs rpm . Throttle position does not dictate tune on most stand alone s2ks. If u tune based on tps I think u need to use the boost comp tables to comp fuel in boost.

Shady tree tuner advice.
