Interested in what these cars can do 60-130 with a supercharger or turbo...

I was going to do some pulls but didn't have time before the car got put away for the winter. You have to avoid shifting to 5th to get any sort of decent time. I am running 255-50-16s and the limiter is set to 9700. That should take me to just past 130 in 4th. Stock final drive.

Is your head and engine built to be reving to 9700? I'm wondering because I'm on the stock block w/3mm hg and a supertech built head. Just wondering if I can rev it out to 9700 rpm on the stock block.

I do have some times in 4th gear with the roots supercharger

with 4.4 gear
6.5psi
20 to 97mph (4th gear) 4.72 sec

with 4.1 gear
5.5 psi
20 to 102 (4th gear) 6.13 sec

 

with the 4.1 rear gear top of 4th at 9700 in in the ball park of 126.9.


Sounds like you speedo is reading slightley hi but is in the ball park.

BTW that means that 6th should be in the 193mph area at 9700.

i did a whole bunch of datalogging when i was on an exotics rally. let me see what i can dig up.

 

haha, I dunno, I mean I know this is what the exotics do when they do their highway pulls but as far as DD I would imagine 0-85mph is more common, I mean how often do you really go over 95MPH on any given day?

Although maybe when you have 400+RWHP you get up to those speeds really quickly....
