with the 4.1 rear gear top of 4th at 9700 in in the ball park of 126.9.
Sounds like you speedo is reading slightley hi but is in the ball park.
BTW that means that 6th should be in the 193mph area at 9700.

255-50-16 rears and 9700 limiter:
Total gearing in fourth gear: 5.521716
Maximum speed in fourth gear: 131.9
I need to go out with a vbox and verify if that is accurate. My car has Supertech valvetrain and a built bottom end. I would def not rev that high on a stock longblock. The car doesnt make power up there but the extra rpm can help in the lower gears... and if you want a nice 60-130 time.

The 60-130 imo is a good gauge for acceleration but this car stock isnt geared for that. We already have 2 shifts the 3rd to 5th would kill the time. 50-120 might be a better gauge for S2000 owners and would really allow us to compare setups. Dynos might be all over the place but GPS doesnt lie.

You might be forgetting about the taller rear tire in the rear effectively lowering the final drive ratio. This is the calculator I was using:
