Does EU really cut the mustard?
I'm looking at doing a simple turbo setup this year. I'd been planning on AEM EMS, but for my goals, I'm thinkin the AEM will be a bit overkill.
For those of you with EU, does it cut the mustard? Good support for it? Any major issues I should be aware of?
I can obviously save a good bit of money with the EU plus not have the occasional starting issues the AEM is known for.
My goal- Upwards of 400-425whp max.

I am my tuner. I've used EU in limited fashion before, but just can't justify spending standalone dollars on a stock motor setup with nothing outrageous and not pushing any envelopes.
I see. well, MY tuner said he wouldn't use it if going over 400whp. I don't think the unit has a limitation, so I guess it's up to you if you want to run it or not.
btw I did run it with my Vortech @9.5psi(around 350~360whp) and it was fine.

Just a matter of being cautious with ignition timing and making sure the transition is tuned perfectly.

350-360whp is a lot of power for an S2000, so I'm thinking if the EU can handle that, with careful tuning, 400whp safely isn't out of the question.

like I said, no limitation to the unit. depends on how well you can tune it I guess. good luck!

buy an AEM EMS and dont ask this questions..there is no way around Stand alone
and like I said, I can't justify standalone costs (plus the extra tuning expense) for a basic turbo kit. Maybe if I was pushing the limit of the motor with just a headgasket or with a built motor, that's another thing altogether.
