Default Downforce anyone

Question for big horse power guys, do you ever feel a need for more downforce on the rear with our car. I am tempted to put on Mugen SS wing to the most aggressive position to get more grip in the rear. I lost traction on 3rd gear with 255 full throttle from 60 mph tail happy not good at high speed will this help ?

Check the racing and competition forum. There is a post somewhere in there about what wings are functional and at what speeds.

I don't think you'll see much help from a wing at 60... at least enough help to keep the wheels gripping under FI power... but for what its worth, the wing needs to be tall to see enough wind in order to work properly. Mugen No, J's Yes

I have the buddy club wing since my weight reduction took so much out of the rear of the car. I can notice a difference at 60mph since I go wingless during the winter. I just feel more safe on the highway with my wing, and definitely faster on the track.

from our research the mugen three piece produces a little over 200lbs of down force at around 60mph. We will be working on a pro stock spoiler to produce some down force.

Wow thats interesting.. Thanks for sharing that. Now is that with or without the risers that make the spoiler sit higher?
