first of all, they're ARP studs, not APR lol
and second of all, what makes you think you need them or a 3mm headgasket? as other said don't even bother to crack open a stock block, it's good for more power than you plan to make.

I know there are 2 camps when in comes to the head gasket debate.
I dont wanna lower the boost, so I figured id try the 3mm route this time. I know a lot of the NY/NJ guys have had success with it.
Im open to suggestions though

u dont need to lower the boost. i think the issue might have had something to do with the re-tune you just had done?
Are you running meth w/ your setup?
^^Where was the AF set on cruise? Mine is anywhere from 14.8 to 15.2 and I hadnt had any problems. Being that there really isnt a huge load on the engine, 14.7 to even 15.8 AF at cruise shouldnt hurt anything.

Agreed, A/F ratio of 16.5:1 at no throttle is completely normal, in fact it was leaner than that, but your gauge probably doesn't read leaner than that.
Regardless, your partial throttle A/F ratio is most likely irrelevant in your case. What was your A/F under boost (and at what PSI/RPM)? Timing?

don't forget bad gas as a possibility? could have beat on it a few times, boost spiked a psi or two, and it would slowly get worse from there.
