So that was flywheel horsepower not RWHP?
I am debating whether I should post this or not, but I think that it is important that I mention this.

My main objective here is to let other members who cares about the validity of these tests before they make their decisions based on these Dynapack results. For those who just cares to see the higher numbers, please don't mind this post.

Dynapack numbers can be misleading besides the smaller losses obtained by dynoing at the hub of the wheels. The software has mechanical/drivetrain corrections that can be set to compensate for the losses.

For example, if the factory rated the car at 240HP, and it dynoed 200HP to the wheels, the dynapack can calibrate the wheel HP back to factory rated 240HP by multiplying it by 240/200 = 1.2. Once that constant (1.2) is established for the S2000, it can be used back to the rest of the wheel HP from other runs such as the HP numbers from modification.

I don't want to name names, but I would like to share with you a dyno day session I've experience in a Dynojet. A G35 had a turbo setup on his car, which claims to have 401 WHP while showing me his Dynapack printout. Once it had a couple of runs on a Dynojet, its best run came out to 291WHP. He was furious and tried to call his mechanic right away regarding the situation. The Dynojet used here did not have these manual drivetrain loss corrections that can be set.

Given this, it is most likely that the 440HP above will dyno at 440HP/1.2 which is Approx 370WHP in the Dynojet @13psi which is still pretty impressive.

Check other Dynapack posts here, im sure you'll see what I mean. Hope this helps.

Sorry phil. No pun intended.

My car with a Vortech made 297 untuned on a Dynapack. Stock '00-'02 S2000s made 197-204 and an '04 S2000 made 210 on the same machine that same day. So not all Dynapacks give out high numbers. And I doubt Church's is so inaccurate.

Unless your G35 buddy used Church's Dynapack there isn't much validity to your argument.

this dyno that was used shows stock 2003 s2ks in @ around 210-215whp from what i've seen. so in this case i think for you to say its 370 is quite wrong, but i sure cant make up a number and say what it is, but id stil have tosay that i can ssure you its above 370whp. UL has done many s2ks as we all know and im sure you can find a stock sheet from past s2k's hes dynoed.

Did it say Fly Wheel HP on the sheet?

Again, this is just an objective opinion. Do what you need to do with the information. I personally appreciate posts of these nature as it opens posibilities to situations that can be misleading. Similar to reading reviews in amazon.

If I was sideways, I would simply ask Shawn if these are flywheel adjusted numbers or was it left uncorrected for drivetrain losses? What dyno numbers will I expect if I took it to a Dynojet?

This sounds like some type of logic puzzle looking for loop holes. Try reasoning against what you are trying to defend and see if the other logic puzzle gets uncovered.

Most are well aware of the different dynos and the respective ranges for the S2000.

For those that are not, 440hp Dynapack is roughly 390-400hp Dynojet and 350-360hp on a Mustang dyno.

The average stock '00-'01 S2000 on this Dynapack dyno put out 213 hp. Mine had a baseline of 222 and upped the average a little.

Ignore the flywheel hp, it is incorrect. It should say rearwheel horsepower and Shawn has confirmed this.

The bottom line is my output is over twice the average for my '00-'01 configuration and I am a happy camper.
