Hey you guys really bite easily!
"This is just as absurd and irrelevent as each vehicle and each powertrain mod will have it's own losses. And you call crank HP "Mickey Mouse"?"
xviper your statement is exactly my point, which is why it is not a good way of comparing "real world" HP.
I only picked you up on your typo as you are usually so accurate with your statements, and it proves even one as great as you is capable of mistakes, this makes the rest of us mere mortals feel a whole lot better.
Bigpurp, I'm not sure what a "Chump" is but it sounds a little derogatory, there is no need to stoop to name calling just because you don't agree with someone elses opinions.
By the way I still stick to my opinion regarding % power gains made by stock Vortech installation.

I still think your opinion is awfully narrow-minded and flat-out wrong though. But then again, that's just MY opinion.

Thanks "bigpurp" apology accepted
I suppose we will just have to agree to disagree on the Vortech HP gains.
Mind you I still think RW power measurements are the best way to go considering most of us don't take our engines out and bench test them.
I don't care if it's in HP, KW or whatever as long as I have an accurate conversion table I can use. For crank HP to RWHP there is no accurate conversion that is why I suggested 20%.

My results were as follows:
195 RWHP prior to Vortech installation
275 RWHP after Vortech installation
275 - 195 = 80 / 195 x 100 = 41% increase in power
Guestimated CHP based on 20% drive train losses:
330 - 234 = 96 / 234 x 100 = 41% increase in power
+/- 10 HP on these figures and I think you are pretty much on the mark with most of the rest of us.
As for running lean my AF looked good across the range, I will be going back soon for a new dyno I'll let you know the results when I have them.
