Default E-manage ultimate or E-manage Blue

I recently bought a Vortech SC'd S2K. The car is running the stock 6.5 psi and ran great on the stock ecu and just the vortech FMU i think that came with the car. Well i bought and installed a compecth header and a T1R sparrow exhuast and test pipe. i put around 500 miles on it and the car is struggling to stay running at idle and even dies at stop lights. I took it to Auto Zone to run the CEL and it says the car is running too rich. Would i need to purchase the ultimate or the Blue PnP unit in order to tune the car for the exhuast and the SC or is it possible to have it tuned with the Stock FMU from Vortech. Thank you.

Either gen an AEM unit or the Greddy Ultimate- both need tuning and the AEM will provide more options, but will not pass emissions.

If you will not be going all out with the kit, the Emanage Ultimate will be fine. just make sure to find a good tuner first.

The AEM FIC is a quicker proccesor then the Greddy stuff and slightly less expensive. Most AEM techs say stay away from Greddy. The FIC is the piggy back alternative to the EMS

Are you sure the car is just running off of the stock ECU? If so that's your problem and I'm surprised it ran great before you added the header and exhaust. Unless the previous owner bought a VT tuner kit it should have a split second FTC1 piggy back. You can get the software to re-tune the ss box from split second.
http://www.splitsec.com/
click on products, then engine management software.

The ss box works well with minor bolt ons.

Good luck, most good tuners wont touch an Emanage. Stay away from them if they do

"Go ahead and buy an Emanage and we'll tune it for you but your much better off with a FIC on a s2000"

Emanage is made by Greddy who puts together all in one budget Turbo systems and incorporate these units in there system for their turbo's, why would you choose a unit that has slow processing on a car as sensitive and complicated as the S2000 ecu? You need a processor that has some power behind its brains and will work quick enough with the factory honda systems. AEM is a tuning company first and foremost, Greddy is not, Everyone approves of the AEM EMS on the Honda S2000 as one of the best stand alone units on the market. The FIC has the same processing and mapping layout in a piggy back form for people that still need to take emissions or do not want the expenditure of a full standalone due to their power level. I could go on and on but its really pretty simple. If money is a concern, A new FIC on ebay is going for under $400, how much is a Emanage ultimate?? The Ultimate and FIC are both piggy backs and both perform the same functions, but one of them has a higher level of processing ability.

Emanage Ultimate will be fine, will probably free up some extra HP too. I would stay away from the AEM FIC, Seems like they are having some issues. I would wait until the issues are worked out.

What issues? Tuners that are not familiar with tuning AEM systems?
