What issues? Tuners that are not familiar with tuning AEM systems?

From what they have told me, the FIC seems to make changes all its own from day to day. These are reputable tuners that tune so cal cars. They are very familiar with AEM.

Never heard of that, I have heard that Greddy Emanage systems are slow to process partial throttle inputs on an S2000 and can re learn these over time. Whats a guy to do

Just did a little more research on the troubles experienced by the FIC when it came out. The first model 1910 had a software glitch when used on the 00-05 year models but was fine for the drive by wire 06+ But since Jan of 08, a year now the new version 1912 was resolved for all 00-05 years. If you have a 1910 version it can be sent back to AEM for the software update fyi.
[QUOTE=s2000Junky,Dec 16 2008, 07:17 PM] "Go ahead and buy an Emanage and we'll tune it for you but your much better off with a FIC on a s2000"
Emanage is made by Greddy who puts together all in one budget Turbo systems and incorporate these units in there system for their turbo's, why would you choose a unit that has slow processing on a car as sensitive and complicated as the S2000 ecu? You need a processor that has some power behind its brains and will work quick enough with the factory honda systems. AEM is a tuning company first and foremost, Greddy is not,

anyway, back to topic, i would go emanage ultimate over blue. it costs more, but there are less bugs and way more that you can do with it. eventhough your setup might not be very extreme, you'll likely get a better tune from the ultimate.
keep in mind though, as these types of threads always come up, it's always best to go with what your tuner knows best. if you live in the boonies where there's only 1 tuner within a 400mi radius and he only knows how to tune a AEM EMS and has no idea about the ultimate, then it would probably be best to go with the EMS. asking him to tune something that he doesn't know, might lead to more retunes which are costly...and could eventually cost as much as a standalone would have from the beginning.

I will post my own results with the AEM FIC in the next few months on my 10psi CTSC set up.
