I hear so much mixed info on e85 I don't know what to believe anymore. Is it bad to run it if you don't drive the car that much. Say once a week maybe less? I know there is quite a few people on here running it and I figure not everyone is driving their 500hp S2k every single day to keep the fuel from rotting the car out. Id most likely be using it on my SR20DET S13 project not my S2000 for now. Ive done some searching and haven't come up with much.

I think most people blow it out of proportion with how E85 eats away fuel system components. Not true. There have been many tests to see if E85 will eat away components, but none came up with any negative results. There is nothing wrong with driving the car once a week but I definitely wouldn't leave it in the tank for an extended period of time. The only issue that I believe has been confirmed is that it eats away at rubber fuel lines over time, but nothing to where an inline fuel filter couldn't catch.

Myths. Many people run E85 with no problems. The rumors that gas tanks and other fuel components will corrode have so far proven to be nonexistent.

Cold starting it after a week of not driving does take a few more cranks. Thats about the only negative that I see from your standpoint.

actually it is true, but only cars from 89 and below. For us it's not an issue, but I've got a customer with his 89 pignose, KA-T running E85 and no issues.

I would love to do it, power is there, torque is there, fun is there. The only thing that isn't there is a lot of fill stations here ha ha.

Oh and gas mileage. Cold start isn't that great either though. However the pro's outweigh the cons ONLY if you have a lot of fill stations around

There is a pretty good amount of them around here on Long Island. When I upgrade my turbo I'm going to think about upgrading to e85, thanks guys.

It's very important that you check with the stations about the E70 winter blend. That would suck to tune on E85 then damage the motor not knowing it had E70.

If they have enough of them around make the switch to corn! You will not regret it.
