Default Easily concealed AFR gauge?

I'd like to start running a wideband O2 to monitor AFR but I REALLY want something that I can essentially hide away. A small digital box would be ideal because I could keep it mounted at the base of the dash and pull out from time to time to make sure I'm where I need to be. I dont have to monitor it all the time but would like to have the ability to check it out from time to time to make sure I'm not leaning out because of a mechanical failure etc...

Is there anything like this out there? Could I take a digital gauge and pull it apart for just the display to keep from having to have the circular chassis for a typical gauge?

You might want to check out the PLX flat gauges (or dakota digital) which you can mount in the visor. However, there really is no point of an AFR gauge if you are going to hide it.

Hmmm, I really like that but I dont want to hack my car up and I like having my audio controls work correctly. The PLX flat gauge seems to be a good choice but I'd like to have it someplace inconspicuous. Like I said I want to be able to monitor A/F but dont need to have it in my face all the time. Plus I like the car to look stock if some yahoo is just looking inside, less for them to want to try and steal.

PS: Do you know if you could rewire the audio control button to the mute button? I can live without mute, get another piece and hack that so if I ever want to go back to stock I can swap the original back in.

I have my boost gauge in my cup holder. You could mount your AFR gauge there if you want to hide it. I'll try to find a pic...

EDIT: found it

I use 3 gauges on a carbon plate I made myself that goes behind the radio door. I have GPS built into the dash so it works out well. Door still closes to hide them when I need.

I made one really quick to get the idea down.... you can see the gauges aren't evenly spaced. The 2nd on I made looks about perfect.

I'm thinking a PLX R-300 would do the trick, I like how it data logs and has some extra flexibility. It's just a matter of where to put the display.

Or you can buy a aem serial gauge and install it inside your cup holder.
Thats where mine is, obviously your not gonna look down at it while driving but it does hold values. So you can always go back and check them.
