ECT and AEM read totally different
well what i did was measured the voltage out of the sensor and i looked on modifry's site and it has all the voltage to Fahrenheit conversions.
the aem was reading within 2 degrees of what the stock ecu reads for temp at the same voltage. so my AEM is reading and displaying it correctly on the laptop, but the gauge isnt. the gauge is in la-la-land.

i just wonder if it has something to do with that "matched" and then "apply" button.... cause it didnt change anything on the work screen.
id like to hook it up and run the calibration but i dont want it to F something up. im no tuner, just the builder. lol im in uncharted territories with the AEM crap.
***********if anyone with the SERIES 2 can look in their wizard and see what is checked and tell me what they have, that would be awesome. and let me know how your gauge works.*****************
i wrote evans to see what he can come up with. but i noticed that the coolant gauge is reading what the aem puts out in voltage compared to the temps... so the aem is reading the temps and showing the cars voltage on the screen, but whats getting sent to the dash is a different voltage. i bet it has something to do with the matched and applied crap. ill see what evans says in the am.

Hey did you ever figure this out..my turbo s2k does same thing and at random times...data logging shows tem never above 212 but will go 9 to 10 bars then back down to 8 within seconds...makes NO sense
