Default ECU options

I've seen that most of the s2ki members use the AEM ecu.
But has anyone tried using a microtech on a s2000 for tuning?
Thx

Ricardo

The largest advantage to the AEM EMS is the abilty to plug into and interface with the stock wiring harness and sensors. I know to use a Motec ECU will cost 3X the AEM just in wiring it all to work.

You do have a point there, but will you extract the good juice out of the FI engine with the AEM? How good it this ecu, and did they fix the prob with the water temp?

"They" didn't fix the temp but Modifry here on S2KI developed a device that allows the temperature gauge to work. The parameters are programmable.

So, all that needs to be done is to download the parameters into the AEM from Modifry and that's it to get the water temp to work? Why doesn't AEM do this then? How much to get this from Modifry?

Spoolin, Modifry's mod is a module that intercepts the signal from the ECT sensor and outputs a modified signal to the dash. So it actually bypasses the AEM ECU and allows you to set which bars light at what temperature. Go to Modifry's Website for more info.
