boost and budget are two words that don't go together. if you can't afford to do it right the first time, you won't have the $ to get it right when things start to go wrong. everyone seems to want to do it cheap, but don't understand doing it cheap turns into doing it more expensive than if you were to do it right the first time around.

just drive your car and when u have 10 000 aside dedicated to mod your car then go ahead...... the dc after all the lil things are done and running like said before will be about 5500 to 7000 and then have 3000 left for things that will eventually break or giveout.... my custome turbokit just on parts was over 10 000

If you do everything right, $10K will disappear really fast. Not to say that you can't do it for less, but where you cut corners is where you will most likely have to spend those 'oh shit' funds.

remember the old addage.. fast, cheap, reliable... you can only use 2. lol dang thats old.. but anyways, FI in general will be somewhat expensive.. The best route if you're not looking for all out power, just get a used vortech kit and install it yourself..

not too sure about the 10k figure that everyone is throwing out... maybe if you decided to go turbo, but I dont see that much money going into a stock s/c setup... (if done right)..

If you are able to get a used s/c thats in decent condition, you can have a decent 300whp car for under 4k.
