I saw Wael yesterday and got to drive his car. He has just returned form TX where Corky Bell developed his turbo system. Wael drove the car back from Texas! It does have a water-air intercooler and developes power extremely smoothly! There are still a few pieces he wants finished before offering his kit, but anyone who is interested will defiantly not be disappointed. I believe he does intend to make sure that the system is CARB certified.

I know that Wael is very meticulous and takes great pride in anything he develops. If I remember right he was working on a turbo kit with Corky Bell, so you can be sure that this isn't something just put together to make a quick buck.

BTW, I am pretty sure that is his car as he had it sent to Corky Bell for the development.
Then it will probably be a very dependable kit if it was designed by Corky Bell. Corky is known for aiming for reliability in the long run. He also uses cast iron molding for many of his manifolds. Is this used in this kit also? I think inconel would be a better material though, but the price would increase.

Huh. Never heard of an air/water intercooler for a turbo. Learn something new every day.

There is no such thing as an "install and forget" turbo kit. Turbo kits always need some attention to keep running perfectly. Tuning is the key.
I know that, but if you read the article then you would know what I was implying

----

Go to B&N, sit down.. flip to page 146 and read I don't have the mag in front of me but I remember it included the intercooler. Like I said, what I got from reading the article is the kit is more like the SC kits out there than any other turbo kit made for the S.

I started this with hope of getting more info from Elda and Bell

Damn thats a lot of cake for a basic kit. The inlinePRO kit comes with a lot more than that for less money and it looks damn clean. Check out my new install.

this may be a dumb idea....but the filter being there....wouldn't that cause a lot of heat soak..I know it travels through the turbo which is ungodly hot anyway..but couldn't it help out a little to get the air filter somewhere else other than right there where its like hell avenue for heat. Or does the intercooler take care of the that regardless of the heat intake before and after turbo enough to where it doesn't matter?

When I get home I can scan the first page of the article sans install writeup.

I know we're not allowed, but you guys can get a glimpse before it's ripped away from you

Spankee, I know you are a good guy and that Inlinepro has had a solid reputation. But a lot of people in the know have some serious doubts about that kit and the reliability. Wishing you good luck!

I legal turbo system would mean less power due to the wastegate being closed loop and intercoolers for aftermarket kits rarely make it through smog. That and you must route the BOV back into the intake to keep it legal. Just like the GReddy system for the Integra, its CARB legal but only without the intercooler kit at standard 7psi. To make a legal turbo system that puts out descent and keep it CARB is very very hard to do.

I dont buy stuff from companies that lie around (Inline Pro).

Anything by Elda would come out amazing and the fact that Corky Bell went out to make it makes me really have high hopes for the kit. I'm sure that'll be a kit worth getting hands on. CARB legal too?!?!? WHAT? Nice
