Spankee, I know you are a good guy and that Inlinepro has had a solid reputation. But a lot of people in the know have some serious doubts about that kit and the reliability. Wishing you good luck!
Thanks a lot Dan, I just got the car done and dynoed today. It made good power with 320RWHP and 240ft lbs of torque. That was with about 11lbs of boost. The runs were made in 3rd gear which net lower figures because the ideal gear to run in is 4th. We tried a 4th gear dyno run and the clutch gave out and slipped around 7000rpm. It is stock and putting a new one in very soon. Also the air filter I made up is not ideal cause it draws in hot air, I am going to make a new intake that routes colder air in which will net 15-20hp. After I get everything buttoned up and on the dyno again it should be making about 350RWHP with NO FMU. The 650cc injectors are doing okay with the AFC but it does stumble here and there which is expected. Eventually I will go with an AEM EMS and run 18psi. It is damn fun to drive though!

Are you on stock internals?

Yep stock internals with headgasket to lower compression to 9:1. The owner of inlinePRO has ran 18psi plus with almost the same setup for a very hard 5000miles and it is holding up very well.

posting copyrighted material, especially AFTER an Admin has specifically told you not to, is a no no. I really hope you don't do this again....

So I had to go buy the mag to check it out and first pass all I have to say is WOW....this looks for real....

They say the kit is designed to OE standards of durability and designed for streetability.

kit is +72hp with 5psi boost....however they say more HP is available if you're running high octane gas.

No specific price for the kit but is designed to be cost competive with $6000 NA packages....could be less or right around $6000.

TC is good for 500+HP

5 Heat shields????

Bypass valve built into the system NOT blow off....appears to be designed to meet CARB requirements.

Hmmmm...turbocharger is fed with both oil AND coolant? I thought most were just oil cooled this one also taps into the engine coolant system. I assume this is designed to increase reliablity.

Simple FMU but no electronic enginemanagement, again maybe to meet CARB reqs...since the effective systems(i.e. E-Manage and AEM) are not CARB legal.

The pics are definately cool if you're interested in the system buy the mag.....if this thing does meet CARB certs....I want one....of course I'll want an AEM too(just a bit anal about that)

Since we're not allowed to post pics of the magazine feel free to PM me if you want to look at it. Just go buy the mag I guess...

So I'm on a warning level, so I guess that means I'll be banned soon lol

But, I have to apologize cause I did not see ludedude's post before I posted it. Of course I won't do it again. I'm a webmaster of a forum so I know what it's like to deal with members like me. So we make mistakes...

You knew even before Ludedude's post that you weren't allowed to do it. You said so in your post and basically said "I don't care that it's against the rules; I'll put it up until they take it down." So it's not just a question about not seeing or ignoring Ludedude's post. You willfully chose to violate a policy you were 100% aware of. Ignoring/not seeing Ludedude's post only made it worse.

Understood.

I think I'm just a bit cranky today, my apologies. But like s2ki, I just put the forum I run through a huge upgrade, with work and the upgrade I'm a bit exhausted. You have to understand I'm just a little excited after reading about this kit and just wanted to share with others.

Again... my apologies...

I hope I am not too late in the discussion to share some information with everyone. The article was great but didn't mention several things about the kit as well as the more recent developments have improved the package further.

To start I will mention the information that was missing:

- The kit includes a 200% larger radiator, shown in the photos but not mentioned in the article.

- The kit actually has 11 heat shields, not 5.

- The prototype kit has used and tested 6 different turbos.

- We've covered about 4k miles so far testing

Developments since the photos and article was done are as follows:

- The kit includes e-manage with plug and play harness w/timing control & TPS logging capability. GReddy boost sensor & harness might be included too.

- The FMU will be phased out or possibly offered as Stage 1 while larger injectors used for Stage 2.

- The intake uses a redesigned airbox, our 3rd version actually, I can post photos once this website is running properly.

- We're expecting to test our 7th turbo configuration as the power delivery improves with each change we've made. We currently have boost by 3200 rpm and approx. 40-50 ftlbs increase between 4000-5000 rpm!

- We've sent the 3rd airbox design to be priced in carbon as the current design (not shown in the mag.) takes about 3-4 hours to make in aluminum, so possibly carbon might be cheaper.

We've just placed the order with the foundry to cast our first production run of manifolds. There are many unique features to the design of the manifold and the intercooler. We are applying for CARB exemption and will probably modify the airbox internally to comply with CARB requirements.

I will fill you in on more details over the next few days. We still believe we can sell the kit at the target price of under $6k complete, no nickle and diming of the clients. It will be done as a package.

cheers

W.
