Default The eManage Magic Setting for Timing Control...

The magic dial settings to control timing with the eManage is 4-8-C. Just thought I'd share what we figured out (actually, what someone else figured out and shared with me). We did some minor timing changes, and confirmed that they worked. We made some adjustments and drove the car, everything drove fine. We're going to start some street tuning, then dyno-tune sometime next week.

Timing light and the reaction of the motor at idle will indicate of the timing is actually changing. The famous "st00pid" is tuning his car so I have complete faith that it is working correctly. With timing control and fuel control the eManage will be very capabile of alot of power!!!

How do you actually go about tuning by adjusting timing? How do you know where timing needs to be retarded along the RPM range?

That's the process of tuning. Generally you want as much timing as possible with out detonating. The most power is made just before detonation....

If the car is detonating you have the option of reducing boost level, adding fuel, or retarding timing.
