Default Emanage Ultimate Map Sharing

So, I have been wanting to post a thread for a while that focued on the Emanage Ultimate and not only talk about how to use the Emanage but also give new and old members actual settings as reference. I have no problem sharing my maps but I worry that some the members will not want this type of sharing b/c they make their living tuning.

I figued I would post screenshots of my maps and settings as well as my mods and then find a file hosting service to allow anyone to download them.

Please chime in if you are for or against this.

the problem your gona run into is people pay good money to get that map. and sharing it for free to those that are not skilled can cause problems and be unfair for those that paid a tuner for it.

not to mention, everycar is different, and location, gas available, altitude, weather, can affect the tune. rather then asking people for there tune, learn how to tune yours and ask people about how much timing there running at certain rpms and loads, maybe what afr worked for them , just general questions that will help you taylor your tune.

hell, kw just released there hondata tune so you can see wat kinda timing he is runinng.

i speak from experience becuase when i first bought my aem ems i just asked poeple for there tunes and then realized why i wasnt getting what i considered helpful responses.

something to consider.

also, i would never just load up someone elses tune and go drive with out being able to log it, tweak it, and be at a dyno to verify power output.

I would not encourage anyone to post a tune from a professional tunner unless it was dramaticlly changed by the user.

The idea would be that the few people like myself, that would prefer to tune their own car could share notes.

Good starter topics could be, What differences have you seen in weather and atmospheric conditions. Then a discusion as to why you have to change the map and what can be done to create a more robust tune that is independent of these conditions.

Each car would be different however, the Emanage has the nice compair feature so uploading the maps might be helpful.

I would hope that anyone that uploaded my or others maps would have the knowledge and ability to check and make sure it is not causing problems.

I think the small changes in everyones set up will make maps unsafe for people and cars. I would do this as well but I need to learn how to get the map out of the ult, almost like step by step instructions. I have tried downloading the software but I use vista and it did not seem to work. Not sure what version to download either, mine did not come with a disc. So more information on how to extract the map with out causeing problems would be helpful. I would love someone to show me how to data log my ult, so if your in Maryland let me know if you can teach me!

Scott your a very cool guy for sharing your knowledge and maps.

I'm running one of the two you sent me till I can complete my new downpipe and finally get down to HB Speed for a re dyno. Car has been running well though and much better than the base map...
