Default EMS logging question

Hello, first time logging and I have a few questions.

I have a 1052U (don't know if that matters).

1. How do I log boost?

2. How do i log the A/F ratio?

3. How do I log engine speed

4. How do I log TPS

5. Is there any way to set up the logging all the time, or under wide open conditions?

6. Can I accidentally change the calibration just by plugging in my laptop in order to log?

I logged TPS & engine speed already, just want to make sure I'm doing it, and reading it correctly.

I think that's enough questions for now. Thank in advance.

i can log without changing any settings.

You can log up to 3 minutes of info at a time, then it will start to record over the older stuff. You can however, make multiple logs and get lots of info etc..

1. How do I log boost?
Boost will be explained as Kpa, you can change to Psi if you want, by going to options and changing the units!

2. How do i log the A/F ratio?
You need to plug in your wideband into C16 on the wiring harness... depending on what wideband you have, you'll have to make little changes to get voltage to read correctly

3. How do I log engine speed
engine speed will be logged as RPM, you can also log Engine load as well

4. How do I log TPS
This will also be logged

5. Is there any way to set up the logging all the time, or under wide open conditions?
Already answered it above

I recommend you get a serial gauge.... the thing is great and allows you to do little logs so to speak while driving... without a laptop connected!

oh I see, but I can't even find where or how to read or log boost.

I have the 1052U, so i don't need to plug in a wideband, correct? is the A/F read/logged in % or volts or what?

Do you want to watch all those parameters live or do you want to record and review the data later?

well I wouldn't mind watching them live, but kind of hard to do so, unless I have a passenger, but I would like to log it all just to review and make sure everything is ok.

Sure:

1. Click the home screen button.
2. Drive around and when you want to start logging hit F6.
3. When you stop the log (same button), you have create a file name and decide where to save to.
4. The logger will only log what you have pulled up on your screen. If you go to the home screen, you can log everything you've specified.
5. Open the file using the AEM logger software and not AEM Pro...

Enjoy!
