Default engine cutting out at 6 rpm (vortech supercharger)

So Ive been running a vortech supercharger for about 8 months now on the stock pulley which is putting out 6.5 psi. I decided its time to up the boost and I had a custom 3.9" pulley made and ordered some 750cc injectors. Its currently at the tuners and when he put it on the dyno for some reason the engine kept cutting out at 6000 RPM ever since he installed the smaller pulley. He has only been working on it for a day and so far hasn't found a solution as to why its cutting out. Has anybody else had a similar problem when upping the boost? and if so, what was the solution?

thanks guys

Are you running the vortech black box or a stand alone ECU?

Your issue sounds like it is a VTEC engagement issue; it doesn't have anything to do with upping the boost per say. VTEC is failing to engage. This could be due to an ECU issue if you have a standalone or piggyback unit that is capable of controlling VTEC engagement point. Perhaps there is a wiring disconnect in the VTEC signaling wire, or your settings are incorrect for VTEC engagement. It could be an oil pressure issue at the VTEC solenoid. I'm not sure and I know others can help you more, but it definitely sounds like a VTEC issue, so start there.

Do you have an aftermarket MAP sensor?

The stock ones are really only good for ~10psi...if you are running more boost than that, you need to swap the stock MAP for an aftermarket one.

Manny I'm in melb bro. And Its definitely not a vtec issue. Ive got a haltech ecu and vtec is tuned to kick in at around 4k. I should have mentioned before that when I had it at 6.5 psi my engine was cutting out at 8.5k and we originally thought that was because the stock injectors were failing but now I'm thinking it could be another issue? I should also mention aside from 750cc injectors and the SC my only other engine mod is a HKS hi flow exhaust system

I've got an aftermarket walbro fuel pump so I don't think that could be the Problem. It was brand new when I installed the kit 8 months ago :/. Can't quite make any sense of this so far
