Default engine fire...

Had my oil feed bolt just pop out of the top of my GT3076R when on the interstate today. Large amount of smoke, some fire on top of the manifold. Lasted like 25 seconds and was over. Didnt hurt anything at all, got to it before it spread. Nothing was melted or damaged in any way thankfully. I cant get these oil feed bolts to STAY PUT!! Everyone should go check theirs just incase.

I like to carry and extiguisher for just that reason, I have blown off oil filters, engines and oil relocation kits on several cars.

Yeah, but in my experience AN type fittings work themselves loose. I check my feed and return lines weekly. I'm paranoid.

wow, that sucks! glad you got out of it without any damage!

I know that in Mase's kit he doesn't move the stock oil filter just to keep everything as stock as possible for reasons like this. not sure what fittings he uses for the oil feed into the turbo though.

had similar issue with mine once it came back to the uk, the fittings that were used were aluminium earl fittings, and constantly worked loose and oil seepage and smoke, since then changed them to steel fittings and no problems

yep mine are aluminum GT restrictors bought from ATP turbo. This oil fitting is now stripping out again since its aluminum and the threads get effed so easily. Where did you find the fittings you now use? Thanks!
