Default Engine Management

I have been trying to find information on this, but it has not been going so well. My past experiences have been with an RSX Type S, so I want to clarify some things.

If I get a standalone ECU, AEM or Hondata, do you have to keep the FPR on the car.

Also, do you have to keep the air pump ?

Thanks for any info.

You do not need to keep the air pump with the AEM (not sure on the Hondata) Yes, you still need to run a FPR.

Are you referring to the stock FPR?

Yes you need an FPR but if your car has an aftermarket rising rate FPR (Like the SC kits have) the AEM EMS and injectors negate the need for it.
