Thats what I was thinking. Whats the point of compressing the air that has already been compressed? Wouldnt that just heat the air up even greater? It makes no sense to me but maybe I'm missing something.

the smaller turbo drives the larger turbo for faster boost and better response... I believe..... You see this alot on the diesel power cummings trucks

That would be a sequential twin setup but...

Doesn't look like it would work that way with the way it was connected. I could be missing something, but it definately looked wrong.
