exhaust for fi
I have the UR dual with AP2 tips. I like it, minus the droning. I am going to try and put a resonator in tomorrow so I'll let you know how that goes. It's definitely a quality piece, and very OEM looking as it uses the stock tips. It's not too too loud.
What if I use a HKS hi-power for a turbo kit? say, Greddy?
I'm looking for around 280-300WHP.
would it be a bad idea?
I'm not too worried about losing some HP, just asking if it's gonna hurt reliability(if any)?
Thanks guys
Dan

i thought about the hks hi power dual, however i am like u not to worried about alittle horsepower drop as i am hoping to be in the 450 mark but i dont want a loud exhaust hmmmmm
HKS Hi-Power for the 350-400 mark you might make catless. 450, I am pretty sure I can say no way safely. You'll need a 3" exhaust for that power.
SlimJim runs that HKS exhaust and his car is making 405whp and something like 290ft/lbs of torque.

Very nice, very high quality piece. And they have stuffed it in the stock placement as best as possible so no fear of scraping. It's not overly loud, but it does drone. Tried to fit a resonator, no dice. Way too tight. I'm probably going to put a 3" random technologies metal cat in instead. Get rid of the smell and quiet it a bit without a huge loss in power.

My HP dropoff is more attributed to the turbine size and less so the exhaust. Small price to pay to have 293 rwtq at 6,000 RPM. It's always a compromise...
For 300-350 rwhp, the HKS would be a fine exhaust. It's much quieter with a turbocharger acting as a muffler as well. Still burbly, just less so. IMO it's perfect.
