Exhaust Valves
That is the stem of the valve, and not the area that would "burn" The Valve sealing surface and valve seat in the cylinder head seal the combustion chamber, not the stem. Deposits on the stem is not unusual, not does it indicate the valve doesn't seal.
I understand, but the head is still on the car. I can't really get a picture of the valve seat surface. I'm mostly just trying to see if my valves are going to be a problem in the future.
