Dude....not to sound condescending but you REALLY need to rethink what you are doing. Saying that oil temp and pressure monitoring isnt important when doing something like this is insane. The sensors are cheap and easy as hell to install. Oil temp and pressure are dependant on one another. You run on an aem infinity, the fail safes on this system will 100% save your motor from low oil pressure.
If you continue with what you are doing, we'll keep a look out for when you window your block

I'm sure AEM lets you wire in sensors, all you need are the actual sensors which are dirty cheap. $22 for a 100 psi oil pressure sensor https://www.ebay.com/itm/271511515207 and $16 for 280F temp sensor https://www.ebay.com/itm/261289853631 I use both of these wired directly into my Haltech. Gives me great logging capability and can have live data with my win10 tablet.

Every modern factory turbo has a coolant feed because they generate so much heat due to high turbine shaft RPMS. General rule is that oil temp doubles as it passes the turbo charger (but will cool as it leaves, whether or not you're running an oil cooler). A turbo does not cool your oil, it absolutely heats it up as it passes through. That's why just about every modern factory turbo car has an additional radiator to cool the oil. Just look at what happened to early (2007) BMW N54 cars before BMW added an oil cooler. Oil temps were super high because of the turbochargers and the cars constantly threw check engine lights when driven hard. They added an oil cooler and this stopped. Please do not believe your turbo is cooling your oil, this is incredibly poor and dangerous information to spread.

I agree oil and pressure monitoring are important, just not on the top of my to do list just yet. Still trying to get this project out of the garage have come across a huge issue.

Some updates:

Cleaned and still running 130k miles shortblock


Aluminum alternator/water pump pulleys. Fluidine crank pulley

Dei silicone spray/titanium wrap and turbo blanket



Fully assembled again. Adding Tessa high heat tape around wires really finished it off. Ready for first start and drive once weather drops below 100 for once.

^^ Most people weld in flex pipes into there dump tubes there is a ton of vibrations going on and the way you have it over the down pipe. I can see that happening.

You can always mount flex points or support joints as well. It's just a thought. I think thats why the user above said they would brake off.

Hows the blow by with just 2 breathers on that? Any dyno #'s yet?
