To those of you who have removed the factory, water based oil cooler, what are the thread sizes/pitch on the block? TIA

Is the fitting under the intake manifold the same M20 x 1.5?

For those interested in deleting the factory oil cooler, the factory oil drain bolt for the 05 Subaru Impreza is M20 x 1.5:

Hey Kyle I am probably going to sell my oil relocation adapter for plugs into the place of the factory oil cooler. If I give it to you can you check it to see if its the right pitch for the block? Im not planning on taking my oil cooler off so I am going to get a new oil adapter.

Nesar, can you post a pic? Are you talking about an adapter to delete the oil cooler (like the one that comes with the Inline Pro relocation kit). I believe the fitting is from the 99-00 Si. I will verify that and try to determine the thread size/pitch.

yeah, It deletes the oil cooler and plugs straight into the block. Its not a fitting you add. The one I got was a male fitting not a female fitting where you would add the stock fitting from a 99 SI if that makes sense. The adapter bolts straight into the block. I bought it from someone on here used as a full race oil relocation kit.

I think the shortened bolt is from a crv or accord. Been awhile since I did it but works perfect. Basically oem price but shorter to accommodate lack of oil cooler.
