Thumbs up Fan Operation Question

My question is how do the fans work? I know you can set them to come on at a certain temperature but when do they turn off? I am just trying to figure out why my temps rise during highway driving and drop when I exit the highway. I have a haltech PS 1000. and a stock radiator

from what i hear, that means everything is working as it should, you just aren't getting the airflow you need to the radiator.

check the thread re: overheating by o'malley808 in this subforum, and topillogic posted info about what t1 did to his car to get more airflow

u can def control the fans thru an ems. i have mine turn on the moment i start the car. but in the end, this just slows heat soak. if your overheating, bleed the system, try water wetter, maybe cut the bumper. i saw a thread about it and i did it. so far, when moving, i dont see over 185. in bumper to bumper traffic with ac on i saw 207 in 90+ degree heat. i wouldnt worry unless your consistently over 215-220.

yea i definitely have an air flow problem. If Im doing 80 then my temps start to drop. Im gonna get that cooling plate to see if it helps. I thought about cutting but the cross beam is right above the part of the bumper i want to cut so i doubt it would make much of a difference unless people think other wise....
