Perhaps we can put together a single thread of the total weight of the most popular FI kits out there.

SOS, Vortech, Comptech, Kraftwerks, Greddy, HKS, etc.

Please chime in if you know the weight of these kits off the shelf or how much weight they added to your car.

 

Don't know about those particular kits, I had an SOT roots kit and the shipping weight was 96 pounds. But I had several pounds of stuff left over, (lengths of unneeded coolant hose, small bits and such) and I removed about 30 pounds of stock items (airbox, heat shields,throttle body and so forth). There was also several pounds of packaging. The only real heavy piece was the blower itself and that weighed 40 pounds or so. Then you have to count the probably eight pound of coolant you might add if you use a gallon in an aftercooler.

My kit maybe netted 55-60 pounds total but it all ends up at the front of the car. YRMV

 

My comptech kit weight about 50lbs give or take a few lbs. And that includes a big Spearco front mount heat exchanger and an aftercooler.
