Default FI time has come, couple questions

Ok, First of all, I'm not completely new to the turbo thing. I've had 2 S2000s but in between the two I had a 24V VR6 GTI that I turboed and installed a stand alone and tuned myself. The car made ~400whp reliably. I'm am however, no pro and I care about this car much more than I did the VW. While I was living in Hawaii I did some of the basic upgrades I wanted to do to the S2000 before I started with the FI process. Well I'm back to the mainland now with my good friend who's a Honda genius and I think it's time to start the turbo process.

A little background to why I want to do things a bit different...

I bought my current S2000 from my father who now drives a 911 turbo. I recently spent a few days driving his Porsche and am absolutely in love with it. He's been throwing around the idea of stepping up to something like a Protomotive 700hp kit and I think if I built an S2000 that put a little hurtin' on his Porsche, it would put him over the edge and he'd do it. With that said, I know full well that it's easy to build an S2000 to beat a stock 911 turbo. What I want to do however, is beat his Porsche while maintaining as refined a car as possible.

My goals are to make ~400 whp first of all.
Second, I want to keep as many of my "luxuries" as possible (Cruise, A/C, etc)
I'd like to keep it somewhat quiet, or at least somewhat refined sounding (No open dump, recirc BOV, etc)
Reliable enough to run some HPDEs if I want
Easy to drive

I don't want to sound like a blind "noob" here who's making shots in the dark for a fantasy he'll never accomplish, but I don't know how else to clarify my plans/goals.

Basically I'm thinking of a kit like Inline Pros. But I'd like to recirculate my BOV and dump the WG into the exhaust. I'm in northern NC too so IP is fairly close. I have no thoughts of ever shoting for more than 400hp, so I don't think I want to run a 600hp potential turbo "just in case". I'd rather run a smaller turbo that spools a bit quicker. If I want to unleash the gates of hell later, I'll run a different turbo all together.

Any thoughts on this? Inline Pro guys feel free to PM me if you want to start talking parts and prices. I'd like to do as much "in house" as possible, but can bring the car to a shop and leave it for certain parts of the build/tune when the time comes.

I don't want to get too far off subject here, but it really is an amazing car. I've built cars faster than his Porsche and driven cars WAY faster, but it's a different kind of speed. The way it pulls without all the fuss of a "tuner car" is just strange. It's completely effortless, like God is reaching down and just pushing you down the road. Factor in a chassis that makes 400hp to all 4 wheels seem underpowered and.... well I don't even have words to describe it.

That is the very reason I want to maintain as much civility as possible. If I build a faster car out of my S2000, but it wakes people in the neighboring county, has a powerband like a railroad spike, and is hard to live with day to day, it'll be easy to roll eyes. I won't have really proven anything.

Disclaimer: Beating my dad isn't my sole purpose for wanting to do this. I just want to do it because I like turbo Hondas. Driving his car and hearing him talk about kickin' his car up a notch just put me over the edge.

Shoot me a PM for now if you would. I have some sort of phone phobia thing and until the time actually gets here to start wrenching (month or so), I don't want to waste anybody's time. I just got out here and am still waiting on my tools and all that stuff. I have a feeling it's going to be mostly an IP setup, with some changes to the charge piping to suit my needs.

(sorry about flaking on the Civic you guys had for sale too. My step father made me an offer on his old Altima for a commuter car that was....well, impossible to beat.)

And somewhat local to me to boot! They're good guys up there for sure, and that cast manifold is the #1 part I want from them. Equal length tubular manifolds are nice and all, but it's overkill for my goals and will never be as long term reliable as a properly designed cast manifold.
