Which filter to run right off Vortech sc?
Ok found plenty of filters to go with.
I am looking for an intake elbow now. From what I was told the pipe had to have a 4" centerline radius which makes it much harder to find one.
Aluminum I still haven't found one in that radius. Stainless steel I did find a 4" OD pipe, 90 degree bend with a 4" centerline radius.
Will the stainless steel be too heavy to stay straight just bolted onto the sc with no bracket? I wanted aluminum since it is much lighter but no luck yet.
This is the only thing I have found that looks like it would work for what I need.

Last thing I need(I hope) before putting my Vortech kit on next weekend.
It did not come with an intake setup so was planning to just run a filter right off the sc inlet.
Does it matter what filter is used? Should I just measure the inlet and get a K&N to fit?
Or get a special filter or something?
Also do I need to cap off any vacuum lines that would normally be routed to the intake elbow?
Search is not working!!!!

The AEM dry filters are supposed to be very good flowing filters and I'll be going with something like this on my turbo. This may even be able to fit directly on your SC without having to add a pipe. You can search through many different universal filters they have to see what one may work well for you. This is an example of one of their short filters like I'll be going with but they have many others.

Can those be purchased at Autozone or any local auto parts kind of store?
Not sure if I will have time to order before installing the kit.
Also should I just get the cone type of one or the biggest one I can find that will fit the inlet or does it make much of a difference at all?
Ugh why can't the search just work haha.
