Sideways, any reason to have a 4" elbow? Would a 3.5" work the same as that is the sc inlet size? Or is your sc different?
I am thinking I'll just pick up a 3" elbow shortly and make a custom intake that way similar to yours.

A 3 inch elbow would be like sucking through a straw. A 3-1/2 inch would be the minimum. The 4 inch has very little restriction. You need to use a 4 inch or less radius bend.

ooops I meant 3.5" but I guess I could just as easily get a 4" and a reducer coupler.
Where did you pick up your elbow from?

Any reason why this wouldn't work with some trimming down in length maybe?

Yes. Half of it ends up as scrap.

Here's another super cheap one.

So if the bend is not tight enough, no matter how much you cut off it will hit the radiator?
Seems like just cutting this real close to the bed it would fit but maybe not.

Or if the 4" one wouldn't fit, would the 3.5" fit possibly?

So I guess those other ones I posted do not have tight enough of a bend so I found this one.
Really short but should do what I need and move the filter over to where the AUT plate directs air I would think.

Hmmm, I have seen silicone ones that would fit I am sure but would prefer metal.
I haven't find the right size aluminum one yet or at least that lists it has a 4" centerline radius to allow it to fit.
I have found one made out of stainless steel though. 4" diameter and 4" centerline diameter as well. 6" legs.
$52 for it.
Would it be able to support itself and stay erect? Or would it be too heavy with a filter to stay upright when clamped onto the vortech inlet?
Shipping weight is listed as 5.5 lbs. A bunch would have to be cutt off it to make it fit so would be lighter than that I am sure.
