Default The Final Numbers

Those who have been following this thread know that FF2Skip & I have recently made some pretty large orders for new parts to turn up the power. Well, the tuner gave me the car back yesterday & here is how it looks

Mods (Engine Only):
  • Comptech Supercharger with Aftercooler
  • ASP 3.25" Pulley
  • AEM EMS 1052-U (Build in Uego)
  • AEM 3.5 Bar Map Sensor
  • AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator
  • RC Engineering 650cc Injectors
  • NGK 7173 Copper Spark Plugs Gapped to .032
  • Hardtopguy Clutch Kit : OEM Disc, ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate, Comptech Flywheel, OEM Throwout Bearing
  • JIC Test Pipe
  • Spoon N1 Exhaust
  • Spoon Thermoswitch
  • Spoon Radiator Hoses
  • Spoon Radiator Cap
  • Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
In our area we have had pretty bad rain for the past few days with the final day of tuning being approximately 90+ Degrees with about 90+% Humidity and raining. The tuner said I hit a total of 9.75psi on the dyno, however on a cooler day I should gain anohter 1.5psi. At this time we have no idea what the car would put down number wise on a cooler day.

NOTE - I picked up my car yesterday after they had closed so currently I am awaiting a return call to find out the following things : a) where my redline is and b) what my air/fuel mix is

Well... enough of the wait

*gulps* Even though I might regret this...

I'm guessing a VTEC engagement of about 5300 rpm? Chad, where'd those "before" numbers come from?
And don't forget to ask what fuel pressure they were running. Glad you got her back. I'm anxious to hear your driving impressions just as much as I was to see the dyno numbers. Numbers only mean so much and are relative. Still, I'd take those numbers and a little more torque and be happy.

Be safe!

Good start.

Up the torque by lowering the Vtec a 1000 rpm or so with tuning and raise the red line a couple hundred rpms and you should see an additional 20 ftlbs or so torque down low and 20 or 30 hp up top.

Sideways- having a similiar setup as Chad and not lowering compression, how much could the rev limiter be bumped up before needing Ti retainers/inner springs?

A couple hundred rpms.

IMHO, owners of modified F20Cs should change out the retainers to avoid engine destruction.
