Finally Dyno'd the turbo
Please bear in mind that this is the my development mule, not a car with which I'm trying to make max HP.
Basic setup: 60-1, Tial WG to atmosphere, stock cat, stock exhaust, 7 psi, Walbro 255, Synchronic fuel pressure regulator and Missing Link.
This turbo system is nothing fancy, so I really don't think that anything under 10 psi really warrants standalone fuel systems, etc. No gimmicks like VAFC, etc. My goal is to push as far as I can with just a pump and regulator before going standalone. Probably around 12-15 psi max.
Take a look at the amount of torque at 4k. The area under the torque curve at low RPM's make this S2K finally spin around with control. I'm making max torque at 5500, gotta be the interaction of the head work and boost. The ramp up is also interesting in HP from 4k to 6k, much steeper slope than before. The power drop from 8-9k is the same as stock, a friend tells me it has something to do with piston speed at that RPM and the drop in Volumetric Efficiency, questionable, gotta sort it out.
Here's the basic setup.
