I've been boosting for a couple of months now with no problems.Until the other day that is.Well Basically my car stops boosting at .5 bars.But the real problem is it wont rev pass 6300rpm's or basically were vtec starts.I checked the aem ems and all the sensors are fine.I switched to a new vtec solenoid and nothing changed.Boost controller is fine and there are no leaks in the piping.I usually run 14psi and haven't had a problem.

My new theory is i might have blown the headgasket.Is it possible for the car to be running after this?

Does anyone else have any other ideas on what may be wrong?

What head gasket?

Does it smoke at all?

 

Oil level?

 

Check your VTEC settings. With a blown HG car should run the same, just make less power and have the typical symptoms.

 

Car runs fine under 6300-6400rpms.Oil level is fine too.Doesnt smoke constantly just an occasional little puff when pushing the car hard.But whenever vtec is supposed to come in it backfires like if you hit redline

Nope.I have a 3bar map.I dont think its a boost problem now.Because wouldnt the car keep going regardless of boost?I say its a vtec problem

 

Can this be moved to the proper engine section please.

If it starts to backfire sounds like an ignition cut of somekind = tune issue. Double check all the EMS settings
