Fitting the ESM, can it be done from the bay?
Hi,
I had a quick look at where the ESM would be going yesterday and it looked pretty cramped in there and my soldering skills aren't very good (non existent) I saw 3 plugs going into the ecu, can anyone remember which one if the plugs it is?
Are there any tips to make it easier? Alternatively can it be done from the harness in the engine bay?
I may have to get someone local to do it otherwise.
Cheers

LOL, its not easy. Helps if you are 100 lb yoga instructor with long arms. But if you're not you'll just have to be cramped and uncomfortable like the rest of us were. Removing the driver's seat helps a tiny bit. Having the front of the car on jack stands helped me; didn't have to be so low to the ground while working on it. Do you have a copy of the install instructions?
