I observed the same thing you did...the Vortech blower sits just a bit further back, so the UR kit (unmodified) would *probably* not match up to the blower. So I'm thinking you'd have two options:
A) Have the UR piping extended with extra tubing.

I am trying to decide if I should get the UR FMIC or a normal aftercooler for my non-AC comptech, but I'm really curious how its working out for people.
How much boost are you loosing?, is my biggest question.
Also I'm assuming that some tuning will be required from the UR piece.
