Default FMICand SC install thread, FINALLY TUNED and done

So SoCalIsMyLife and I started working on making the piping for the FMIC i'm going to be using with my CTSC. we decided to just put the kit on this weekend. i'm going to get the RFL BOV today from KingCuong and i just need a 7psi pulley now. i might just go ahead and keep my stock injectors because i'm anticipating a drop of about 1psi (from 7psi) anyway, and to my understanding i can run up to 7psi on stock injectors. i also need 2 new VTEC gaskets and then all that's left is putting in the Walbro fuel pump that the guy included with the kit. so far we've clocked the compressor housing to face the passenger side of the car, mounted the blower and FMIC, taken care of all the hoses, and started to cut the piping for the FMIC.

the compressor housing looks pretty dirty but the functioning parts of the unit itself seem to be in very good condition and we didn't notice any oil leaks or anything.

hey where's the photo of the SSAUTOCHROME box? believe it or not the ssautochrome stuff is getting pretty good now. prepolished, mandrel bent, and bead rolled stainless piping, 3 ply braided silicone couplers, and stainless T-Bolt clamps.

As much as I don't want to help, you should really use a quality BOV, and not an RFL, which is a piece of junk. However, since the s2000 is a MAP based car and not MAF it may work ok since your tune won't be affected by a leaky BOV.

So I take it you bought a kit from them that wasn't intended for a S2K and you are making it work? Not a bad idea. I love how you reclocked the blower, really clean!

i got just the intercooler and bought the piping separately. i did pick up that RFL BOV actually. as far as my understanding, a supercharger setup doesn't really need the BOV anyway...but maybe i'm wrong about that? i'll use it for now and then see if i will really need to swap it out.

thanks! keep the input coming, guys.

today was day 2 of the project. we started welding today and got all but the passenger side fenderwell bends done. picked up the RFL today and will try it out to see how it works for now. still need to go over to TXS to get a steel flange. also still need to pick up the mushroom filter, 7psi pulley from KingCuong, and belt. we are shooting (:crossfinger for completion tomorrow but will most likely finish on monday.

A for effort but those welds are horrible and that coat fur can go up in flames fairly easily.
Try using better safety
